Matchmaking vs dating apps

Dating apps show you many people and let you choose. Matchmaking shows you **one person at a time**, and a person chooses that one. Neither is better in the abstract — they are built for different things.

How people are shown

Apps show a list. More options feels better, but in practice the comparing never ends and many people choose nobody.

We send one profile at a time. With nothing to compare against, the only question left is "do I want to meet this person".

Who does the choosing

An algorithm does, on an app. Whether the profile is true is not checked.

Here a manager picks from people whose employment and identity have already been confirmed with documents — looking at more than the stated criteria.

Which is better

If you want to meet many people casually, an app is better. It is faster, free, and there is more to choose from.

If you would rather meet fewer people who have been checked, this fits. It takes longer and it costs money. Plenty of people use both.

FAQ

QCan I see several profiles at once?

No. One at a time. We move to the next only after both sides have accepted or passed.

QIs the other person screened too?

Yes. Everyone is checked the same way before they can be introduced.
